Finding effective ways to enhance their fitness spaces while reducing stress and enhance overall well-being was the goal when Clemson Rec added Power Plate to the Fike Recreation Center.
Just prior to the start of school, Nex Play LLC added the high-tech, vibration platform to provide a unique workout and wellness experience for their students. It was placed in Fike's functional space, where the Power Plate is being used as a pre-workout tool to activate muscles, as a workout device itself, and as a post work out tool to relieve muscle soreness.
According to Ben Blodgett , Associate Director, "after some initial advertising and promotion, our usage is up, and not only are the students using it, but our PTs and ATs are utilizing it with their clients".
